4: Did you know that comedian and actor Jordan Peele's mother is white? He last saw his dad, who was a jazz musician, when he was 7, and later learned that he'd passed away in 1999. Jordan married fellow comedian and actress Chelsea Peretti, best known for starring alongside Terry Crews in the hit comedy series Brooklyn Nine-Nine. As Gina, the quirky office administrator. The couple met on Twitter in 2013, sparks flew, and they began dating. They later eloped and said their vows with only their dog present, and their son was born in 2017. Jordan quit acting the same year after Sony offered him the role of Poop in the emoji movie. Feeling disrespected, he shifted his focus to writing and directing. That same year, he debuted his first film, Get Out, which earned him an Academy Award, making him the first African American to win the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay. His second film, Us, starring Lupita Nyong'o, also broke multiple box office records, solidifying his reputation as one of Hollywood's leading filmmakers through his production company, Monkey Paw Productions. 4: Now we're talking about this a few days ago, but for anybody that doesn't know, ladies and gentlemen, old Jeffrey Bezos is part of the world where he wants to, uh, eventually see how he wants to eventually see computers move to the cloud. So you know the little that you do own, basically is taken away. You like owning your computer, your little laptop, your gaming system. Yeah, well, the billionaire of the world doesn't want you to fucking own anything. So listen to this shit. And I look at this and I thought, this is what computation is like today. Everybody has their own data center.
4: And that's not going to last. It makes no sense. You're going to buy your computer off a grid. That's AWS. We had, and we were doing it internally in Amazon for ourselves and the APIs were created. There's a, that, that's a very interesting story. It's own right, but the, this is, you know, these kind of horizontal layers like this is, you know, that, that's a very interesting story. It's own right, but the, this is, you know, these kind of horizontal layers like electricity and compute and now artificial intelligence, they, they go everywhere. There isn't, I guarantee you there's not a single application that you can think of that's not being used badly.
4: Right now.
4: I think, I think billionaires live in like this weird fucking bubble that nobody can fully grasp. No, that's a bullshit way of saying it. Basically, the idea they're saying, and I'm going to add the extra context as well because I don't want to physically saying this. I don't know what I'm talking about data centers, which obviously are these huge areas where they have tons of computing processing occur. Data centers are not new. A lot of them have been in service of the community. Like for instance, relies on tons of data centers around the world hosting tons of video files and are able to process and distribute them as soon as anybody clicks on an actual video. Like you did for this video. So again, that is not something that Jeff Bezos entirely wrong about. Consolidation does economically mean better things, but when it comes about like, you know, the, uh, the, the, the compute doesn't make sense, he's actually not entirely wrong in the situation too. And it hurts me to almost say this because, you know, yes, uh, once GPUs, once RTX 2090, you know, sitting inside a data center that can be rented out for, I don't know, like 20 bucks a month by somebody, right? Basically rented out for a taxpayer is probably better than just selling you things to one specific person en masse. Obviously, for a lot of these companies that are participating in the AI bubble that are, that is out here, it is better for them to own all the RAM, all the GPU, all of the compute so that you, buddy, can actually go right to them and give your money a month and basically have an only accessible by a few people around the world. That's really the end stage of all this shit. Like obviously you don't understand that it's bad when a few companies own everything. Basically, they want you to have a system where like you can't use AI, for instance. Like you only have the ability to go to things like ChatGPT. You only have the ability to go things like Microsoft Copilot kinds of things. And what you only have the ability to go to like, you know, the AI distributors in the world because they have all the hardware and you can access that hardware if you pay per month and you go through their web browser or whatever application you're shopping for. Now, obviously this doesn't mean that, you know, your phone doesn't need to get charged if it's going to be gone, but really the future, at least these guys got their wishes, would be that basically various hardware that you can buy right now like GPUs, high-end CPUs, RAM, and any capacity would never be sold to you because they could just support all of them. Because here's the thing, if you buy your own GPU, your own RAM, your yada yada yada, you can actually run your own fucking AIs and your own video games without relying on these companies hosting shit for you. You know, I've shown you on my channel tons of times where you can run things like DeepSeek, Quinn, American Open Models without ever touching the frontier models. You can even connect these bastards to the internet and have them do Google searches for you. What a
4: You turn on that
4: I have a good friend in line who keeps me up to date with a lot of the stuff that is happening on the internet that may not necessarily fall under my radar. Of course, the internet culture, content creator culture is such a massive thing. It's pretty impossible to keep up with every single content creator and what their lives are up to. I've got a couple of content creators that I like regularly following, but other than that, I don't really pay much attention to what's happening in the content creator sphere unless it directly involves me in some way. So I have a friend of mine who tells me a lot about what is happening on these streaming side of things because again, I don't really stream at all, and when I do, it's usually for a sponsor, which funnily enough, my audience is completely okay with. But my friend was telling me about, uh, I guess this story recently of the biggest Twitch streamer on the platform, Kai Cenat, or I guess he's the former biggest Twitch streamer on the platform because he recently made a video where he said he was going to quit streaming, which I think is a big deal because I'm pretty sure he was like one of the highest sub Twitch streamers on the platform or something. I'm not too sure. Either way, he made this video where he said that he was going to quit streaming for a number of reasons, things like mental health, uh, issues, as well as just wanting to improve his life, self-improvement. In that same video, he also talked about a secret channel that he had started where it essentially just looks like short snippets of his life coming up with designs for his brand and most importantly, and the big topic I want to talk about in today's video, he has a bunch of videos on wanting to express this sentiment of wanting to improve his speech and in doing so, reading books for 20 minutes a day. And we're not talking like manga, like we're talking like actual books. Now, to your average person who doesn't know what the fuck a Twitch streamer is, doesn't know who Kai Cenat is, uh, has a life outside of the internet and has a job. Sorry, I should have given a trigger warning for some of you there with that word. I'll make sure to censor it next time. You're probably thinking to yourself out there, how is this like, big news? Like, who the fuck cares? And trust me, I was also in that same camp as well, but one thing we want to talk about in this video like this is the supposed backlash that this decision by Kai had somehow received from the very audience that built him up. A lot of people were clowning on Kai because in a couple of the videos where he is reading a book, uh, more specifically, I believe he was reading Atomic Habits, which is a book that I have not read yet personally, but I've definitely heard the name of and I definitely want to give it a read, where I would say maybe not every other word, but every now and then he would stumble onto a word that he didn't know how to pronounce or he didn't know the meaning of. And so what he did, like any normal person would, was look up on his phone what does the word mean, how do you pronounce it, how do you use it in a sentence, essentially learning new vocabulary. And somehow, some way, his audience, or I guess people on the internet, took that video and started making fun of this man who was just trying to learn a couple of new words, just hurling L grenades towards him over the barracks of Twitter anonymity saying that he was stupid for not knowing how the word spontaneity was pronounced or how it even means, which I think is possibly one of the dumbest things I've ever seen in my life. And is a big reason why I am slowly starting to personally lose faith in this terminally online young crowd. I never thought I was going to say this, but I'm actually on Kai's side here. Maybe he's done a bunch of shit in his past that maybe are a little bit immoral, potentially I don't know. I don't know the guy at all, so I guess you can let me know in the comments if I'm missing any like contextualization here that could possibly make him a terrible person in any way. I just don't understand what this hostility is towards someone who is just trying to improve themselves. Like the simple act of admitting that you don't know what the word spontaneity means is not something to be ashamed of. No one came out of their mother's womb knowing every single word in the fucking Miriam Webster. If you even paid attention in school at all, look at some girls me move hard coming at you with the significant horrors of the universe, ladies and gentlemen. Now, you know one thing that I don't like, ladies and gentlemen, is subscription services. You ever feel like there's a subscription to basically everything? You want to play a video game? There's like a game pass here. There's a GeForce now there. You ever go to like, you ever just want to watch like some television show? You go online and it's like, what streaming service out of the 300 do I have to find and purchase?
4: You know, ladies and gentlemen, is this reason why I've actually just started backing up all of my own games? Movies and music? Because there ain't no way that I'm paying like 10, 15, whatever dollars a month I need to access media that keeps going in and out.
